The annual memorial of Jesus Christ's death falls on April 11 for the Jehovah's Witnesses (JWs) this year. Many people may not realize exactly what the JWs are celebrating. They are simply celebrating the death of God's son, not his resurrection to a reigning king in heaven.
Many other religious groups may have a memorial mass or communion every Sunday, where the membership partake of emblems of Jesus' body and blood to commemorate the sacrifice of Jesus for all mankind so that we may be forgiven of Adamic sin and have everlasting life in heaven. However, you must realize, as I have related on this blog, I have been born and raised in the JW organization, they truly only participate in a death mass of Jesus and they believe he was the son of God but have reduced him to being merely a created angel to now being a prophet.
The 2017 memorial invitation can be found at the Jehovah's Witnesses corporate website "JW.ORG". |
Such are the subtle changes of the teachings of the JW movement for over a century of its existence. What you were taught as a child will be changed numerous times until you reach adulthood and find the organization is completely different resulting in a spattering of circular reasoning and knowledge that causes confusion as you wonder what is true or not as far as the JW teachings are concerned. They justify constantly changing their policies and beliefs by saying God is misleading them purposefully until the final days when everything will be illuminated and the chosen few of anointed remnant on earth will not experience death, but will be "whooshed" to heaven much like the Bible character of Enoch. The JWs believe he was taken by God and did not experience death when the Scriptures prove otherwise. No man was resurrected to heaven before Jesus. The mystery of where Enoch was taken by God exists to this day.
Many religious groups will be commemorating not only the death of the Christ but his glorious resurrection to life in heaven as a king reigning over his faithful flock in heaven and on earth. But wait, the JWs skip over the fact Jesus was raised to life in heaven, they only have a death mass celebration at each of the Kingdom Halls throughout the globe [or sometimes held in special halls or convention areas depending on the location]. They normally give a special talk on Sunday after the memorial of Christ's death which is a sales pitch for any worldly friends or relatives that the JWs may bring to hear the talk.
I have experienced countless memorial death masses throughout my many years of being a captive prisoner inside the JW organization. It was what finally started to wear away at my indoctrination. You see, the JWs believe that only a literal number of 144,000 will be going to heaven to reign with Jesus and the rest of us commoners will reside on a paradise earth where the JWs paint a picture of mindless drones wandering around all day doing nothing but pointing at trees, watching wild beasts trod on your property and play with kids that either survived through the Great Tribulation and Armageddon or who were resurrected since the parents murdered them in a blood sacrifice ritual by purposefully denying them a potentially life-saving medical blood transfusion. Only baptized, devout JW parents will see their children raised from the dead in that new system of things, that earthly paradise, whether the child died of natural causes, accidental death or if the parents murdered them as stated according to JW rules and policies. That is the warped view the JWs have of an earthly paradise, and yes, only baptized JWs will make it through those final days into a paradise, including their devoted and indoctrinated Bible students that were scheduled to get baptized.
If you receive an invitation from a JW to attend their death mass next week, you might be tempted to go out of curiosity. What you will find is a congregation filled with men and women dressed in their best clothes looking like marionettes with the plastered fake smiles while they hope to corner you into a weekly indoctrination session to become a baptized member of their religious book publishing corporation that has morphed into becoming a global real estate conglomerate masquerading as a religion.
As you look around that congregation during the death mass memorial talk given by a robotic brother on stage, you will see sad and depressed faces of the membership. People who are dead inside as the leadership of this movement, the Governing Body residing at the newly built world resort headquarters in New York, have amassed billions on their doomsday cult spouting promises of some paradise on earth, a promise they cannot deliver. The Governing Body members and other members of the remnant of the 144,000, do partake of the emblems depicting Christ body and blood remembering that they are the grand masters and mistresses of this bizarre annual death ritual. The 144,000 are made up of both men and women yet women have no ruling power inside the JW organization and will be made "male" in heaven as all angelic beings are considered male. Yes, these are the teachings of the JWs.
The JWs dictate that only the few remaining anointed remnant of that original 144,000 are allowed to partake of the bread and wine at the memorial which is a direct lie and contradicts the Bible. The Bible states it is up to each individual to determine for themselves if they feel they are worthy of partaking of the emblems, and that you must have a pure heart. There is no literal number that are only allowed to partake of the bread and wine. Some visitors to churches may not truly be Christian or feel awkward, or are just learning about God and Christ so feel they do not want to participate in communion on Sunday or whatever the local beliefs are for Christians in your part of the globe. That is fine, the point is, it's up to each individual to wholeheartedly want to partake of the emblems to commemorate not only Jesus' death but his resurrection to heaven, something that the JWs may discuss in a special talk given weeks after the actual memorial celebration of his death.
JWs take away your God given right to choose for yourself whether to partake of the emblems at the Lord's evening meal:
I have said before on this blog that I really don't identify as a Christian anymore, but if you do, that is your decision and right, but only God can give you everlasting life whether that is in heaven or on earth. Each individual has the right to have their own personal relationship with God and Christ, no man can decide this for you including the lofty JWs who push aside Jesus and place themselves between you and God. Partaking of communion is not for only a select group of people. Christ died for all mankind and celebrating his sacrificial death and resurrection is open to everyone, even if you want to observe it in the privacy of your own home if you don't feel comfortable attending a local church. Jesus never taught that God can only be worshipped one way but in spirit and truth, not in any building or headed by any earthly corporation making billions off the masses of people who are told to give up their life now and sit and wait for a fantasy new world that the JWs cannot deliver.
My advice to you? Skip the JW death mass. The JWs themselves and their corporation are at death's door. Don't wait outside that door with them and form a line waiting for death. Life is a gift and being happy and deciding for yourself how you will live is what any God or Higher Power gave us who put us on this planet to begin with. Explore the world you live in right now, it's a pretty incredible place to be.
