Take Advantage of Resources Available Now

Whether you are a former, current, or only know of the Jehovah's Witnesses (JW), you can take advantage of the resources provided on this blog.

KM Marie is my pen name when I started blogging several years ago, to share my experiences as one who was born and raised a JW and devoted my life to the organization before realizing that it was damaging my heart, soul, mind and spirit. Any love experienced inside the JW Society was conditional, meaning, I had to obey its strict tenets or find myself ousted from the organization into the cold world, becoming friendless and almost homeless, without resources to move forward.

If you are hesitating on whether to leave the JW Society, or if you just need help moving forward in life, then hesitate no longer. Assistance is here and waiting for you, just a click away.

I wish you good luck and harmony in the coming New Year.

Click on the links below to start your journey of mindfulness, self-discovery, and a new year of individualized motivation and actualization. Enjoy.

This book is for anyone wanting to set intentions for the coming New Year and is for all persons, no matter what your background, whether you are religious or not, it has no bearing on the value of adding this workbook to your library.

Each page gives you an intention with room to journal about it and write down anything you want to support the intention.

Sample of the Table of Contents. There are 52 intentions in the book.

Read my story here about how I became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and my journey to freedom from the Watchtower.

Hope, Help, and Healing

Yes, there is hope, help, and healing on the other side of the Jehovah's Witnesses (JWs) doomsday table. It's a religion founded on fear and offers little real world value to anyone. It's all about giving your time, money and free labor to a religious organization that has amassed great wealth all based on false hopes and dreams.

It really doesn't matter how you left the organization, the reasons are endless. It also does not matter where you go after leaving the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society because it means you actually took action and made a decision to just leave and never go back.

The problem many people have when leaving the JWs is that they become stagnate, stuck and can't figure out where to go or what to do next. It hardly matters what age you are when leaving the JWs and that might surprise you because everyone can feel lost and not find their true path in this world.

A lot of people are too scared or embarrassed to seek out help from someone else, to admit not only to themselves that they were stuck with a group of religious zealots, but that as adults, they chose to stay or may have joined as an adult. It is difficult to describe to so-called "outsiders" what it was like behind the walls of the Watchtower.

So, what next? It's time you go on a journey of self-discovery and yes, self-help. A lot of people just like you are afraid to talk with a stranger about the JWs since they will hardly understand what you've been through. Licensed therapists and counselors have little knowledge about various religious groups and the control they have on the members. Normally, they want to learn from you so they can make more money off of new clients, you being their trainer while you pay them when it should be the other way around. Then that therapist or self-help guru writes a book based on all the information you provided, and you paid them to boot! You end up feeling lost, lonely and empty inside because you were used yet again by an authority figure. First the Elders and leadership of the JWs and now by some guru or therapist that used you and took your money.

There is help available and it's within your easy grasp, just reach out and take it. My advice is only for those who want to move on with their lives and not feel stuck anymore; to see what potential they have, what hidden gifts they may have left far behind and had forgotten once they became indoctrinated JWs.

Here are my suggestions:

Access my Etsy shop link to download your copy of my book. My story is unique and I think you will find it both interesting and helpful to assist you with your own situation. My book provides details of my exit from the Watchtower corporation and how I found my way to personal freedom. It's a PDF copy at a minimal price, much lower than it cost me in time and effort yet it afforded me the opportunity to document some things about my family that I had forgotten and my own self-discoveries about what the JW organization is all about.

Another book suggestion is from the comedian, actor and entertainer, Russell Brand. He helps you deal with any addictions you may have since many JWs have addictions they keep hidden. Addictions to food, liquor, drugs, sex, and anything else which is a hindrance to you and robs you of self-worth. His book can be found by a Google search and is available from many book sellers.

The Governing Body of JWs consult the cards all the time and keep the secrets of Tarot and channeling of spirits a secret to the masses. Why? Because it works; because it's true. Yes, energies shift and change and nothing is set in stone but a little bit of knowledge is a good thing and can be just the nudge you need to move into a positive direction in your life. Go for it; don't be shy. This is your life now, not Watchtower's as their Tarot card is the tower and it will explode leaving its membership buried in the rubble.

Ready to talk about real-life problems? Then this former JW is for you. She is very honest, open, and down-to-earth. She was raised a JW and her channel used to be dedicated to her journey out of the Watchtower, but now, she focuses on family, kids, coffee talk, work, relationships, dating, marriage, and anything else you can think of. You will enjoy her podcast and she does personally answer viewers' questions. Give her a listen and I think you will find her very welcoming and also a very positive person in spite of her past.

Ebony Rose 1 0 1 - YouTube Channel:

Do you need to talk with a person that has gone to hell and back? Then Gordon Smith-Duran is your guy. He is a hypnotherapist, language instructor in case you would like to learn Spanish or English, and a self-help guide that does not force feed you anything. You can enjoy his YouTube channel which has several videos especially designed to help JWs leave the organization and move on with their lives. Gordon was born and raised a JW and suffered physical and emotional abuse at the hands of his JW father. Gordon takes clients and provides his email address in the links under his YouTube videos. Consultations are free and if you want to book any formal sessions, he can design a program specifically to meet your needs including your own personal guided meditations that he can craft to meet your specific goals.

Gordon Smith-Duran - YouTube Channel:

Don't put your life on hold anymore. Don't throw your money away on people who know little to nothing about real-world problems and your struggles as a JW. Now is the right time to reach out and help yourself. Stop thinking about leaping ahead and skipping steps. You have to realize you were raised differently than others and even if you joined later in life, your brain has been rewired and needs to be unraveled. Don't hesitate; do it now and you can keep it all to yourself and work at your own pace. It's okay, I give you permission to focus on yourself and seek out the help from people who understand your plight. I wish you good luck and much health and happiness on a bright future outside of the walls of the Watchtower.

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

Sometimes we all have to leave the little kid behind and move forward in life. Becoming an adult, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally, is difficult.

Breaking up is hard to do, breaking up with the past, breaking up with a false person or belief system, but it is important that we do break up with the past when it no longer serves us and to break up with that kid inside of us that is holding us back and keeping us stuck in the past.

Whenever we feel triggered by life's events, it means there is something our inner child did not get satisfied; some need that was never fulfilled by our parents or caregivers when we were growing into adulthood. If, for example, you hear some conversation about a politician and you feel the need to jump in and be a "White Knight" for that politician who is a total stranger to you, it could mean that you were ignored by your parents as a child. It means that when you spoke up and screamed and yelled for attention or that a need was not being met, you were told to sit down and be quiet. Another example is that if you have left the Jehovah's Witnesses (JWs) belief system, or some other religious dogmatic belief system and still feel angry when someone brings it up, then you need to do some inner work. You need to ask yourself a few questions, such as, okay, why does this upset me when someone talks about religion? As an adult, you realize that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs and everyone is on a different level in their own personal life path. You can say "I hear what you're saying," which does not mean you agree or disagree with their statements whether they are positive or negative against the JWs or some other belief system. Hit that neutral button to get a grasp on the reality of the situation and then you can calmly share your own beliefs at your current level of your own personal life path.

It is time to become an adult in our lives, something the JWs never want to happen. They want to keep you as children and instruct their adult membership to listen, obey, and be blessed, but by what? The JW leadership can give you nothing and can't take anything from you either. Yes, there are the JW Body of Elders that enforce the strict rules and policies, yet have no authority over what is already found in the Scriptures. Move past that inner child now, say good-bye and begin a life path as an adult with newfound confidence. If you are in therapy due to past childhood trauma, that is your choice to stay there. Your therapist needs to work with you on how to move past dependency on them. If you can rectify the past, do so, as in appropriate legal or civil actions and then, move on. Don't stay stuck in that vortex or you will never grow to be the incredible person you were born to be.

Just because you leave behind the JWs or some other religious belief system, does not mean you must leave God behind, or find a greater, more encompassing Higher Being that only wants what is best for you. You can be humble and realize some great being(s) created the heavens and earth where we live. You can believe you are God, knowing good and bad when a definition doesn't exist. It's relative to your own belief system, your culture, and your environment.

I invite you to take advantage of some of the creative journal exercises at the Etsy store link provided on this blog sidebar. I will be creating more journal inspirations for PDF download in the near future. They are designed to help you decipher your own thoughts and actions to level up in your personal life path and not be dependent on the mood swings of any society or from religious leaders that are feeding off your fears about the future and beyond.

Start thinking about what needs to be broken off in your life and cut off forever so new branches can grow and flourish into new opportunities.

Not Everyone Escapes

You may remember the story about the ex-Jehovah's Witness (JW) named Lauren Stuart and her family, who were all JWs and had left the organization but Lauren never seemed to mentally leave the JWs.

I blogged about her earlier this year and the link is here:

I found through the YouTube Channel of Kim/Mikey, video dated November 19, 2018, that the TV show called Investigation Discovery actually covered Lauren's story and provided a reenactment of how the police and detectives believed the murder/suicide unfolded. In case there was any doubt at the time about the reason for Lauren killing her family, her dog, and then turning the gun on herself, is detailed in that TV show. Yes, she started having doubts about leaving the JWs and essentially believed they were right about the end times, that the Great Tribulation and Armageddon were right at her doorstep and about to happen at any time. She felt that the only way out of their predicament of being ousted from the JW organization was to take the lives of her family and herself, since then [according to JW rules], her family would have a chance for everlasting life. Her fate would be in the hands of their God Jehovah who most likely would take pity on her for what she had done. However, this is up in the air with the JWs since they leave that up to Jehovah but would not conduct any type of memorial service for that person who committed suicide, even if they were still an active member of the congregation.

The link to the YT channel is below where Lauren is talked about and a link to the TV program that covered her story.

As we are now in the holiday season, many persons deal with depression and assessing their lives as we close out another year and move into the new year. Even active JWs suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts and many carry that out, my own cousin being one such victim of suicide as I have blogged about here before. He was born and raised a JW, went on to serve at Watchtower headquarters in New York called Bethel, where he had various positions until finally being assigned to the former Brooklyn headquarters as a tour guide. He came back to his home state, married, became an Elder and served for years before I found out much later that he suffered from depression and was deleted as an Elder. In 2017 he committed suicide and there was no JW memorial, nothing, he didn't exist in their eyes and I only found out about his suicide weeks after it happened. Since I am no longer a JW, I was not invited to his gravesite service just held by family members, no official memorial was held by his congregation.

Do not let the JWs steal your life now or your future. If you have finally made that decision to walk away from the JW religion, be proud you made that step to start thinking on your own. If you believe in the Bible, then that is your strength and resource. If you want to explore various spiritual paths, do that now. If you have anxiety around this holiday time of year, let that go now. Calm down and relax, you have no one pushing you to celebrate anything. Do not be intimidated by JW relatives or family that you need to return to Jehovah, but be kind in your responses. Tell them the JWs do not own "the truth", and that truth is found in Scriptures, not in any church of Christendom, which the JWs are a part of. All churches claiming to follow the teachings of Christ are a member of Christendom.

If you feel depression settling in, reach out to trusted non-JW friends, relatives or co-workers. Maybe join a gym, start a daily walk in the park or around your neighborhood and consider adopting a cat or dog to take the focus off of you and onto another living thing that needs your time and focus. Start writing down your feelings and impressions in a private journal that only you know about, maybe carry it in your backpack or keep it in your desk.

This is the time of year to take stock and think about planning a new path for yourself. Don't fall into bitterness or start thinking the JWs are right after all. They have been wrong for over 100 years of existence before they adopted the JW name and changed up the corporation that exists today that is very much involved in this system of things, their so-called Satan's world. Yes, the JWs are profiting off Satan's world and have amassed great fortune while the membership suffer and die, sometimes at their own hand.

If you feel you need to speak with someone, do not be shy about contacting your local suicide prevention center. Sometimes volunteering at a homeless shelter or animal shelter can help you put life in perspective and you will see how lucky you really are right now. You can and will be that person who escapes from the walls of the Watchtower corporation and you will be a success and inspiration to those around you.

The first step is to detach emotionally from the JWs, then work on the physical and plan your walk out of that Kingdom Hall and never return. They are wrong in their teachings, policies and beliefs. Convince yourself first, then introduce this concept to loved ones. But in the end, we can only save ourselves.

Leah Remini vs Watchtower

Will you be watching Leah Remini's show this month? Her A&E cable TV show that exposed some of the beliefs and practices of the Scientologists [a church in which she was raised] is now focusing on the Jehovah's Witnesses (JW) beliefs as we wonder if the Mormons will be next season since all three religions seem a bit similar.

From what I have seen of the brief promos for the TV show, it will feature a few prominent YouTubers that have a lot of subscribers, one being James Lloyd Evans [John Cedars]. Producers of the show felt that this would ensure a certain amount of viewers for the advertisers that are sponsoring the overly long two-hour episode since the show is all about advertising and sales, and that's it.

The ex-JW message board has a thread about this that I found interesting since obviously, this type of programming is for the uninformed outsider, who is just curious about these religions that are not considered Christian or mainstream, that being the Scientologists and JWs. It has been suggested that L. Ron Hubbard actually used the business model of the JWs to form his own religion and seek charity status in the U.S. and in other countries. This is because both religions do not follow the teachings of Christ, but have religious human leaders. Christ is shoved aside and used for anecdotal material. Obviously, JWs worship a spirit creature called Jehovah which is up for debate as to actually who that god really is, but I will leave that to you to conduct your own research.

Here are a few interesting comments from the ex-JW message board thread about Leah Remini's upcoming show. The link to the first page of the thread follows these excerpts from some of the comments in that thread. I have left all typos as originally written in the comments and edited some for space reasons.

So, will I be watching A&E this month? Uh, no. I have had it with a certain self-proclaimed authority on everything Watchtower. A man who was barely an Elder for a year thinks he is an authority on the religion when he was ousted for his allegedly abusing his position as an Elder and being an alleged sexual predator in the organization. He had the nerve to do a YouTube video threatening the Elders who may take judicial action against the JW family who are supporting him financially since any active JW is to not have any disfellowshipped or disassociated JW in their home and support them in any way unless they are minor children. I have met this person and have related my experiences with him already on this blog. I went to a book signing of his with his paid worshippers in tow and got the full picture of how things work in certain [phony] ex-JW circles.

Will you watch the A&E special this month? That is up to you dear reader as I hope you don't need a show such as this which may be equal to tabloid exploitation and something the Watchtower leadership enjoys and has sought out, with their main sympathizer front and center perched on that couch like a hairy toad absent his golden crown.

There is plenty of genuine information available to you on the Internet, in books, documentaries, historical information, all at your fingertips. If you are curious about the JWs, go to their official website JW.org, and check out the podcasts, videos, and literature yourself. No need for any mediator between you and the JWs. You can go directly to the source and start formulating your own belief system knowing that nothing is permanent. You can change your beliefs, you can believe in God, Christ, the Scriptures, or become a more spiritual person in general, whatever that may mean for you.
