Time to Topple the Emperor with no Clothes

Even though the thought of James Lloyd Evans without clothes is repulsive, it's time this Emperor is exposed in the community of Jehovah's Witnesses and those who have left.

As many know, Lloyd Evans used to be known as John Cedars and now has gained popularity on YouTube and goes by the name of Lloyd Evans even though James is his real first name but sometimes in the Welsh culture, they are given three names but use only the middle and last. I have no idea about Evans' ethnicity and it's not relevant anyway.

His own family, meaning primarily his own father and sister, have completely separated from Evans when he was outed in their own Kingdom Hall many years ago in England. Reports that came out of his hometown were that Evans was sexting girls and women in the Kingdom Hall. He allegedly sent photos of his private parts to women in the Kingdom Hall when he was serving as an Elder and married. Later it was alleged, he met up with another sister in the Hall and had sex, while Evans was a married Elder in the congregation.

The Elders had to oust the pervert and kick him out as an Elder. Then Evans cried that he was shunned, his wife went back to her home in Croatia and Evans followed her and avoided a Judicial Committee meeting to disfellowship him in his Kingdom Hall back home in England.

Then Evans gets on YouTube to cry victim and the Elders in the Croatian Hall were going to disfellowship him but he wrote a disassociation letter and left the organization before he could be fired, in a sense.

Now, the perverted deviant has done it again with him being outed on the Internet, on Reddit, on YouTube as cheating on his wife once again and Evans admits it but says he needed to go to Thailand because he apparently needed a break and was suicidal and allegedly banged some whores in Thailand over the Christmas and New Year's holiday sans the wife and kids [obviously].

Here are some excerpts from the Goodreads.com website of comments from real people who have purchased his 50 lbs book of nothing, filled with plagiarized information that he downloaded from the Internet about the history of the Watchtower and slapped his name on it as the author.

KM Marie YouTube channel has shared a video from the Fateful Slave YouTube Channel that expertly provides an opinion of the latest Evans scandal with the hookers in Thailand and how we should be concerned about this as Evans is the self-proclaimed leader of the ex-JW community when he's a fake. It's time to fire the Thailand Tom Cat.

Following are excerpts from real comments taken from Goodreads.com as commentary on Lloyd's book, "The Reluctant Apostate" when it should have been titled, "The Grifting Apostate."

When is Lloyd going to return the donations he collected for a Spanish version of his book? When is he going to return the donations he collected for a lawsuit he would be filing against some persons in the ex-JW community? He's a fake, folks.

You don't need a narcissist to help you leave a narcissistic organization. You can leave the Watchtower on your own and I invite you to continue to read this blog and access the KM Marie YouTube channel.

Hope, Help, and Healing

Yes, there is hope, help, and healing on the other side of the Jehovah's Witnesses (JWs) doomsday table. It's a religion founded on fear and offers little real world value to anyone. It's all about giving your time, money and free labor to a religious organization that has amassed great wealth all based on false hopes and dreams.

It really doesn't matter how you left the organization, the reasons are endless. It also does not matter where you go after leaving the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society because it means you actually took action and made a decision to just leave and never go back.

The problem many people have when leaving the JWs is that they become stagnate, stuck and can't figure out where to go or what to do next. It hardly matters what age you are when leaving the JWs and that might surprise you because everyone can feel lost and not find their true path in this world.

A lot of people are too scared or embarrassed to seek out help from someone else, to admit not only to themselves that they were stuck with a group of religious zealots, but that as adults, they chose to stay or may have joined as an adult. It is difficult to describe to so-called "outsiders" what it was like behind the walls of the Watchtower.

So, what next? It's time you go on a journey of self-discovery and yes, self-help. A lot of people just like you are afraid to talk with a stranger about the JWs since they will hardly understand what you've been through. Licensed therapists and counselors have little knowledge about various religious groups and the control they have on the members. Normally, they want to learn from you so they can make more money off of new clients, you being their trainer while you pay them when it should be the other way around. Then that therapist or self-help guru writes a book based on all the information you provided, and you paid them to boot! You end up feeling lost, lonely and empty inside because you were used yet again by an authority figure. First the Elders and leadership of the JWs and now by some guru or therapist that used you and took your money.

There is help available and it's within your easy grasp, just reach out and take it. My advice is only for those who want to move on with their lives and not feel stuck anymore; to see what potential they have, what hidden gifts they may have left far behind and had forgotten once they became indoctrinated JWs.

Here are my suggestions:

Access my Etsy shop link to download your copy of my book. My story is unique and I think you will find it both interesting and helpful to assist you with your own situation. My book provides details of my exit from the Watchtower corporation and how I found my way to personal freedom. It's a PDF copy at a minimal price, much lower than it cost me in time and effort yet it afforded me the opportunity to document some things about my family that I had forgotten and my own self-discoveries about what the JW organization is all about.

Another book suggestion is from the comedian, actor and entertainer, Russell Brand. He helps you deal with any addictions you may have since many JWs have addictions they keep hidden. Addictions to food, liquor, drugs, sex, and anything else which is a hindrance to you and robs you of self-worth. His book can be found by a Google search and is available from many book sellers.

Are you ready to explore your spiritual side and what's beyond the veil? Than Tarot by Melinda is for you. The YouTube channel offers a lot of free advice and suggestions for handling whatever turns up in the cards. Don't be shy, don't be scared. The Governing Body of JWs consult the cards all the time and keep the secrets of Tarot and channeling of spirits a secret to the masses. Why? Because it works; because it's true. Yes, energies shift and change and nothing is set in stone but a little bit of knowledge is a good thing and can be just the nudge you need to move into a positive direction in your life. Go for it; don't be shy. This is your life now, not Watchtower's as their Tarot card is the tower and it will explode leaving its membership buried in the rubble.

Tarot by Melinda - YouTube Channel:

Ready to talk about real-life problems? Then this former JW is for you. She is very honest, open, and down-to-earth. She was raised a JW and her channel used to be dedicated to her journey out of the Watchtower, but now, she focuses on family, kids, coffee talk, work, relationships, dating, marriage, and anything else you can think of. You will enjoy her podcast and she does personally answer viewers' questions. Give her a listen and I think you will find her very welcoming and also a very positive person in spite of her past.

Ebony Rose 1 0 1 - YouTube Channel:

Do you need to talk with a person that has gone to hell and back? Then Gordon Smith-Duran is your guy. He is a hypnotherapist, language instructor in case you would like to learn Spanish or English, and a self-help guide that does not force feed you anything. You can enjoy his YouTube channel which has several videos especially designed to help JWs leave the organization and move on with their lives. Gordon was born and raised a JW and suffered physical and emotional abuse at the hands of his JW father. Gordon takes clients and provides his email address in the links under his YouTube videos. Consultations are free and if you want to book any formal sessions, he can design a program specifically to meet your needs including your own personal guided meditations that he can craft to meet your specific goals.

Gordon Smith-Duran - YouTube Channel:

Don't put your life on hold anymore. Don't throw your money away on people who know little to nothing about real-world problems and your struggles as a JW. Now is the right time to reach out and help yourself. Stop thinking about leaping ahead and skipping steps. You have to realize you were raised differently than others and even if you joined later in life, your brain has been rewired and needs to be unraveled. Don't hesitate; do it now and you can keep it all to yourself and work at your own pace. It's okay, I give you permission to focus on yourself and seek out the help from people who understand your plight. I wish you good luck and much health and happiness on a bright future outside of the walls of the Watchtower.

Devil in the Details

You might remember the book and several movies about "The Picture of Dorian Gray" about a handsome young and wealthy man who sells his soul to the Devil to attain everlasting life on earth and retain his youth and beauty. However, as time goes on, he becomes soulless because the Devil took it. This results in Dorian destroying the lives of the people in his inner circle and others who cross his path yet he doesn't care. He lives forever but has no heart, no soul, no compassion. He cares little about any living thing but himself and his own pleasure.

Interesting that I came across the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, who [among other topics], delves into the meaning of the Genesis story in the Bible. His words may interpret why the Jehovah's Witnesses (JWs) are soulless and teach the way they do, not that I am implying Steiner knew of the JWs or was providing any commentary on them. He was commenting on the Bible and other writings and teachings.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGGbaoz1lDs

Any person born and raised as a JW like I was, had whatever unique personality they were developing, slowly deconstructed by their JW parents with support from the congregation and encouragement from the JW literature that spouts the opinions and current policies of the President and Governing Body members of the Watch Tower corporation(s).

Nothing has changed with the JWs and their fear tactics about living in the last days of this so-called wicked system of things, that God will soon destroy every non-JW and the Governing Body of anointed men will be whooshed off to heaven and reign with Christ. In the meantime, us humans here on earth with an earthly hope [per JW rules, only a select group of 144,000 will go to heaven], should be devoid of any human emotion. We are not to form attachments with "worldly" people, not form attachments to pets, not pursue the arts, oh, maybe only as a harmless past-time in between meetings and going from door-to-door recruiting new members into their society. I mean pursue the arts professionally, becoming a master at playing the piano, painting, becoming a professional ballet dancer, you get the meaning here. We are to be devoid of human emotion since the arts teaches and encourages you to develop your feelings and emotions, putting aside solely the intellect.

The arts can also help you develop your imagination, maybe hearing music in your head and putting it to paper, or writing a great novel filled with emotion and human compassion. No. The JWs want you to read only their literature and concentrate on how billions of people will be murdered by God at Armageddon, and how only constant study of their literature will hopefully ensure your salvation. The only love they have is for saving themselves and blindly worshiping their Governing Body of men who lead the organization into a wormhole of nothingness. That's why so many JWs become soulless drones because their lives go on and on with regulated boredom and as they reach the end of their lives, they hope Jehovah will resurrect them to a JW paradise that doesn't exist.

Why did God reject the offering of Cain and not Abel in the Bible? Because Cain was a farmer offering the products from his hard labor, of his own unique accomplishments of tilling the soil and producing his own food, not relying on God to provide fruit from the trees or berries from the bushes in the Garden of Eden. Cain got full of himself and was proud of what he produced and offered it to God. The Devil took his soul and that's why he could murder Abel. On the other hand, Abel was a humble shepherd of sheep provided by God. Abel didn't create the sheep out of the soil, they were already there and he had little to do with them multiplying. It was nature [God] that did that. When Abel offered the animals that were created by God himself, God was obviously pleased with that offering.

Artistic pursuits are considered from the Devil. That's why in countless stories you will hear about someone who wants to be a great artist or great performer or musician, and makes a deal with the Devil to make him famous. God doesn't do this; God essentially hates it when you create something out of your own imagination and talent. Humans made those musical instruments. They weren't lying around on the ground or someone finds a flute on their walk through the woods that grew from a tree branch. But we have God-given talents, right? Only when they praise God and to not make yourself proud or famous.

Cain worked hard to cultivate the ground and produce something out of nothing in a sense, while Abel sat around and stared at sheep and slaughtered them as an offering to God. Hmmm, interesting, since the JWs are like this too. Animals are provided by God to eat, and any pets are simply nothing. If you need to move out of your home and can't take those pets with you, so what. The JW is not to be attached to those pets unless they make money for the owner.

I know, there are farmers and every sort of profession in the JW world, however, what are you offering to the organization? Are you pursing the arts? What a waste of time for them. They exist in the intellect and not emotion. They hate an imaginative soul. You work for the organization, not yourself, and who cares if your paycheck is stagnate while the cost of living skyrockets. Oh, rely on Jehovah as you may have to enter Satan's world for a handout. The JWs are intellect only, so what if you don't have money to feed your family - feed at Satan's table via welfare agencies or at homeless shelters. It's a skewed way of life. You can't have fun unless it's something that doesn't make you sad that you can't pursue it all the time. Maybe a game of checkers is as far as they will go to have fun. Maybe stare at a tree on some afternoon with other JWs with their forced fun intervals between their meetings at the Kingdom Hall. But, you can't have emotions and feel sorry for any person that is not a JW.

If you believe in the God of the Bible, it may be interesting to start your own study in the Scriptures but probably not from C.T. Russell. The original Bible Students really don't like their overlords, the JW organization, that still owns the copyright to their literature and that's why nothing new is produced from that original group because a portion goes to the Watch Tower corporations.  Study the scriptures on your own, pick up several Bible versions and commentaries while you move away from the JW bootcamps and start living your own life that includes emotions and having feelings towards other creatures on this planet.

I have said it before, I am a spiritual person and do believe in a God or Gods that created the earth and set everything in motion. Some people believe the earth is only for those tough enough to take it and learn from the experience. Who knows what worlds we will conquer in our future.

Don't just read things on a surface level. Don't just sit and zone out watching some poor soul living in a basement of their JW in-laws begging for money from viewers because that person has no life, no career, no pursuits or hobbies other than feeding at the table of the JWs and providing useless commentary on the drivel coming from the Society.

Start your own journey to freedom from the Watch Tower and I think right now is a good time to start.

Who Are You Supporting?

If you may be thinking about leaving the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Jehovah's Witnesses (JWs) you may turn to YouTube to find out the history of the Society or just to hear people relate their stories of being in the organization and how they have left and turned to, well, atheism. This is exactly what the Society wants you to do. They do not want you going off and giving monetary support to another religion, they want you sitting home doubting the existence of a God or Gods who created heaven and earth. They want you sitting home doing nothing but maybe indulge in self-pity and not do much else to move on with your life.

I work full-time and support myself and have a great group of friends that never were JWs. We love our weekend shopping trips and choosing new travel destinations each year. I like to express myself via this blog. It's a way to vent and hopefully help someone who leaves the Society not feel so alone and I always try and encourage readers to seek their own life path, and become spiritual, not necessarily religious or turn to another religious group. Open up to many belief systems and start reading many books on various subjects to discover new interests or pursue hobbies or sports that you never could when you were a JW.

However, let's revisit 2017 and the self-proclaimed leader of the ex-JWs, a person who was barely an Elder before being forcibly evicted from the position and faced disfellowshipping or he could simply quit and move out of his home congregation. He did the second part, he got out of the country and lives off his wife and his JW in-laws while doing what? Well, he joined a marketing cult of Scientologists who showed him how to set up a survey as a marketing tool on his blog as a way to gain interest in his articles about his experiences with the JWs and growing up in a JW family and see just how far he could take his marketing cult. It gave him a picture of how many clicks he had on the site and people interested in his stories. He could later gauge how he could harvest those people into dollars.

Everyone knows now he is affiliated with a Scientologist who was very high up the corporate ladder who was forcibly evicted from that group. There you have a match made in ex-heaven. It is no secret the Scientologists use a survey as a part of their problem solving techniques and in their training courses. It's a part of their corporate structure and they train people how to use surveys to boost their market reach and sales in their businesses.

Many years ago, this YouTuber was contacted by a group from the bloodline of the original Bible Students that was started by C.T. Russell. The descendants of that original group of Bible students became shareholders in what was later to become the Watch Tower Society. One of these persons is a patron of this YouTuber and escorted him into the JW Society headquarters at Warwick, NY, in 2017. You see, no one can gain entrance unless you work there or have business to conduct, or are affiliated with a JW congregation and are a part of a scheduled tour group that charter a bus to take a tour of the facility.

This was not the case with this YouTuber because his escort was one of the family ancestors of the original Bible Students; one of the overlapping generations of Bible Students. They both even dressed off the street as scruffy tourists and gained easy access due to his ancestral blood ties. It's common knowledge that when JWs or anyone who gains access to Warwick as a part of a scheduled tour, dresses in business casual clothing. If you are a JW, normally the women all wear dresses when touring the facility; again, a scheduled tour, not just showing up at the gates and immediately being allowed entrance and being allowed to film the entire thing for what? Oh, the ex-JW reluctant apostate's YouTube channel, of course!!! Are you getting it yet?

This same ex-Bible Student who escorted the YouTuber around Warwick was the one who made his own video in 2017 bragging about phoning the local police that a large group of dangerous ex-JWs were going to protest at the Warwick facility. Some people may have heard of the Six Screens of the Watchtower website and they host a live show every Saturday evening and every other Sunday afternoon. Rick Fearon is one of the founders of the Six Screens and he participated in a peaceful protest at Warwick, holding up signs and such and broadcast live from the event for his listeners.

Are these Bible Students or JWs? Hard to tell. Peter Bonacci did a video in 2017 that he later
deleted, bragging about how he called the cops on Rick Fearon and the other protesters
who showed up at Warwick, holding up signs and Rick did a livestream from the
peaceful gathering of only about 20 or so people. Bonacci told police that thousands were
showing up and were violent. I guess he had to exaggerate or the police would have ignored him as a nut caller.
Bonacci made sure to tell the brothers at Warwick how he was related to almost everyone in a group
photo of the original Bible Students either by blood or marriage, that was a part of an exhibit at Warwick
showing the history of the Watch Tower Society.

Here is a link to a YouTube video about the Warwick protest that has not yet been deleted:

I met this reluctant apostate YouTuber on his big book tour of the United States where he revealed that he sides with Watch Tower, that 1975 as being talked about as the time of the end and when Armageddon would occur, was from the disgruntled membership having nothing to do with the Governing Body. It was made up by the JW rank and file. Yeah, me and a few people walked out after that little gem. Time to go home and be glad we met this guy in person; a Watch Tower cloned drone.

Wake up to the fact you were taken by the Watch Tower corporation. They took your youth, your money, and denied you an education and a secure future in this world. Do not be taken again by a marketing cult. They scout for a certain age group, start producing the same canned videos, and there you go, they take your time and your money while you have nothing to show for it.

Why was this YouTuber so loudly protesting against the Russian ban of the JWs? Because the Scientologists are terrified of religions being banned. Reportedly, the JWs were the model used by the Scientologists to get tax exempt status. Scientologists have a hard time in other countries being accepted as a religion, just like the JWs. It's been alleged that this YouTuber is working on a paid position as a Watch Tower liaison to move towards a newly formed religion modeled after Scientology where you can do all of your study and courses online as well as access lectures and public talks online. They want a fully functioning JW network where you can speak with an instructor on the phone, email or Skype and you pay for the service via monetary donations depending on your level and working through the programs offered. It's been talked about that the JWs will retain some meeting halls for conventions since those are money-makers and may retain some local small Kingdom Halls as a resource center and get people enrolled in the online courses, and so forth.

Notice JW.org is already set up online to take automatic donations from your credit card. It will evolve into the Scientology model, that's the goal. Maximum dollars - oh, and you will be asked for donations for all that literature and videos they provide, much like this YouTuber does who sits around in his in-laws basement all day making useless videos about the Watch Tower and demands you pay him to keep doing it to keep his shareholders happy. How many people are in that marketing cult of his? Who knows but a lot are getting a piece of that pie.

You woke up from the JW fog, now's the time to wake up from the ex-JW community fog. I have said it before on this blog. You are strong enough to leave the Society on your own. You are strong enough to focus on yourself, your education, your job, and your family. If you left family in the Watch Tower, do not look back, save yourself and hopefully they will learn from you and they will take notice how you are thriving outside of the organization. You are not disheveled stuffing yourself into jeans that are two sizes too small since you rarely move off the couch with no motivation to wash that greasy hair, wasting your life away in front of a video camera doing useless commentary about some boring Watch Tower convention talk.

You are better than that. Think about where you are right now and where you want to be this time next year. Is it with a better job? Maybe actually meeting new people face to face and not via Facebook with fake names and fake profiles. Invest in yourself and you will find that life is meaningful again, and you can be a spiritual person without attaching yourself to any religious group or theology. Depression comes when you do not feel a connection with your own infinity. You are an infinite being, and this life is worth living now and who knows what amazing things are in store for us. Don't let anyone take God from you; it's your choice, your life, don't be afraid to live it now.

Are You a Victim?

In a sense, we are all victims on this planet Earth. In fact, we are born victims. We have the chance of our birth that may be good or bad depending on what type of family we were born into. The fact we were born at all is a mystery and a combination and product of our ancestors who came before us. Some of us are the end of a family line and many families die out each century.

The dictionary definition of a victim is someone who is harmed, injured, killed, or a living creature killed as a religious sacrifice or someone who was duped or tricked. So the word has several meanings.

Were you duped into the Jehovah's Witnesses' (JWs) belief system? Many were and are, down to this day, even in our modern era. Christianity is viewed by some as a cult in itself as it has many strict rules and you will be ostracized if you disobey the God-given 10 commandments and other rules of the Scriptures.

When you finally wake up and realize that the JWs are just another type of cult, you may feel very angry and confused. You may want to dump every type of Christian belief system and stop believing in God altogether. These people become very distraught and that alternative lifestyle offers no hope for the future or for an afterlife. I do believe in God or a group of Gods that formed this planet and the solar systems beyond our own. Our world and life itself is too complicated and exact to not be the product of a creator(s). I feel any person who doubts the existence that some great power in this universe created life, is fooling themselves and hopes to feel better about being duped by the JWs. As if, well, everything is fake, life has no meaning, nothing matters when it's just a cop-out, a way to deny we are responsible for how we behave.

If another Christian belief system brings you peace of mind, then you should pursue it. If you have very strict beliefs of your own and do not want to accept another person's culture, preferences, and beliefs, then you need to think about why you feel that way. No, you don't have to accept everything another person does, but stop the judgment mentality that most Christians teach you to adopt. As I have stated before, I am not a licensed health care professional nor a counselor. I offer my own opinions and life stories here on this blog and in my upcoming revised book where I share my journey with you and offer real life practical advice on dealing with the JW who may be in your life right now and causing you heartache.

I finally realized the JWs' beliefs were not only wrong, but a twisting of Bible verses, plus, they don't practice what they preach. They say they are a loving organization when the opposite is true based on my own experience being born and raised in the religious cult. The JWs' have their own unique take on life and many of their tenets mimic the ancient teachings of the illuminated ones dating back to when animals were sacrificed to false gods, one being, Jehovah. Yes, he is a god like all the others who wanted exclusive devotion and a temple built in their honor. The other gods, you know, Apollo the sun god or the sun or the son of God. There are countless deities that want exclusive devotion and many are dead and gone from human consciousness.

Are you a victim? Only you can answer that question. I suggest you put down the electronics for at least one hour per day and ponder that question. I know, there are countless YouTube videos done by a certain age group that spout they were harmed by the JW Society, but most are part of a marketing cult. I think you can spot them easily if you familiarize yourself with the actual teachings of the JWs if you were never one yourself or were only entrapped very briefly and have no deep knowledge of the secret Society. Many on YouTube simply mimic those who left the organization and devise their own story to portray themselves as victims when it's all fake and all they want are views, clicks and likes since they have no job and don't want one.

Many in the YouTube community join the Scientology network and some join the so-called ex-Scientology marketing network where they conduct meaningless surveys and pretend they were somehow damaged by the JWs. You see, the Scientologists and JWs are in bed together. Sources have alleged that the Scientologists used the JWs as an example and business model to gain followers and coerce the government into getting tax-free status. Both have high-ranking supporters that benefit financially from the existence of these secret societies. Same with the ex-communities of these cults. I have said it before, sometime the JWs get it right by throwing out aberrant members who were caught doing illegal or horrendous things and preyed on the membership.

Am I a victim? Yes, a victim of circumstances because I was born and raised in the JW world and a victim of self-pity when I left the organization. My life did not turn out the way I thought. I should be in Jehovah's earthly paradise right now. But since I was duped and believed the lie, I now suffer the economic consequences from that. College was a sin, pursuing job promotions meant you were worldly and deserved to be marked by the congregation, all that, and yes I have had to cope and continue to cope and seek out a new life path that brings me peace of mind. I now enjoy reading many different books about all kinds of subjects and getting outdoors more, taking long walks in the woods, while I still love shopping and watching classic television and movies. I like catching up on things I missed in the past, pursuing areas of study that interest me, and I like drawing, painting and thinking about my next travel destination.

Turn off the juice folks, step away from the outlet, pull the plug. Step into the natural light of a new day. This is a new day and age we are living in. We don't have to accept everything that is thrown at us.

Care to take a dare? How about expanding your reach beyond the ex-JW YouTube channels and take a different path? Only a suggestion - here is one that may be of interest to the curious and open-minded. Don't worry. No evil spirits can or will enter your mind or body. God gave us free will. Why? To experiment life and enjoy the beauty around us. To find our own path and share our experiences to assist others along their journey. You may find peace of mind and find you are an infinite soul.

Leah Remini vs Watchtower

Will you be watching Leah Remini's show this month? Her A&E cable TV show that exposed some of the beliefs and practices of the Scientologists [a church in which she was raised] is now focusing on the Jehovah's Witnesses (JW) beliefs as we wonder if the Mormons will be next season since all three religions seem a bit similar.

From what I have seen of the brief promos for the TV show, it will feature a few prominent YouTubers that have a lot of subscribers, one being James Lloyd Evans [John Cedars]. Producers of the show felt that this would ensure a certain amount of viewers for the advertisers that are sponsoring the overly long two-hour episode since the show is all about advertising and sales, and that's it.

The ex-JW message board has a thread about this that I found interesting since obviously, this type of programming is for the uninformed outsider, who is just curious about these religions that are not considered Christian or mainstream, that being the Scientologists and JWs. It has been suggested that L. Ron Hubbard actually used the business model of the JWs to form his own religion and seek charity status in the U.S. and in other countries. This is because both religions do not follow the teachings of Christ, but have religious human leaders. Christ is shoved aside and used for anecdotal material. Obviously, JWs worship a spirit creature called Jehovah which is up for debate as to actually who that god really is, but I will leave that to you to conduct your own research.

Here are a few interesting comments from the ex-JW message board thread about Leah Remini's upcoming show. The link to the first page of the thread follows these excerpts from some of the comments in that thread. I have left all typos as originally written in the comments and edited some for space reasons.

So, will I be watching A&E this month? Uh, no. I have had it with a certain self-proclaimed authority on everything Watchtower. A man who was barely an Elder for a year thinks he is an authority on the religion when he was ousted for his allegedly abusing his position as an Elder and being an alleged sexual predator in the organization. He had the nerve to do a YouTube video threatening the Elders who may take judicial action against the JW family who are supporting him financially since any active JW is to not have any disfellowshipped or disassociated JW in their home and support them in any way unless they are minor children. I have met this person and have related my experiences with him already on this blog. I went to a book signing of his with his paid worshippers in tow and got the full picture of how things work in certain [phony] ex-JW circles.

Will you watch the A&E special this month? That is up to you dear reader as I hope you don't need a show such as this which may be equal to tabloid exploitation and something the Watchtower leadership enjoys and has sought out, with their main sympathizer front and center perched on that couch like a hairy toad absent his golden crown.

There is plenty of genuine information available to you on the Internet, in books, documentaries, historical information, all at your fingertips. If you are curious about the JWs, go to their official website JW.org, and check out the podcasts, videos, and literature yourself. No need for any mediator between you and the JWs. You can go directly to the source and start formulating your own belief system knowing that nothing is permanent. You can change your beliefs, you can believe in God, Christ, the Scriptures, or become a more spiritual person in general, whatever that may mean for you.

Don't Wish It Were Easier, Wish You Were Better

Swimming upstream is never easy, but if you are a skilled and strong swimmer, you will conquer your goals.

It is difficult to even think about leaving the Jehovah's Witness (JW) organization, especially if you are already a baptized member of its society and vowed to be devoted to the top ruling class called the Governing Body (GB). Funny how their terminology always involves the body. As in the Elder Body, the group of men who run each congregation of JWs. Why the body? Because you, the rank and file are the members of that body. You do all the work while the body stays fixed. Without your arms and legs, you would be immobile. You could not feed yourself, earn a living, or get about on your own, you would be disabled and have to rely on other people to keep you alive.

The GB and the Elder Body are the same way. They need you to keep them alive by using your money, time, and resources to keep them very wealthy and thriving for years to come while you suffer and toil and never reach the end of that swim upstream. It is never easy to leave the JWs, and if anyone tells you it is, they are lying to you or were never really "in" the faith, as they say. They could not care less, perhaps they married a JW and fell into the organization and don't have any real emotional ties to it and can walk away at anytime. That's fine. But many of us were born and raised in the religious movement, and simply walking out those Kingdom Hall doors was a major, life-shattering moment.

Yes, I did it on my own. I conducted online research of the history of the JW religious movement with my only outlet being the JW message board where I could talk freely under a different name, and express my viewpoints and ask questions. The message board is still in existence, at: https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/

You need some sort of outlet when you are planning your escape from the BODY. You also need that one moment that will push you out the door for good, and yes, sometimes you have to leave someone behind. The JWs love to say how they are not a cult, yet they behave like one, so what's the difference. There isn't one.

Perhaps this is your one issue that will get you to become a better person, to step up to the plate and take a stand by finding that courage to leave the JWs. Below is an excerpt from an article in The Guardian online newspaper. Click on the title for the complete story.

ExcerptLouise Goode, a former Jehovah's Witness, says she left the faith because of its responses to allegations of child sexual abuse. "Since leaving ... I have become an activist and my aim is to ensure that all abuse cases or suspected safeguarding issues are reported immediately to the police rather than being dealt with in a secretive way in house by three elders who have had no safeguarding training."

Louise Goode did form her own group called JW Support Foundation, and that was her way to becoming "better" when leaving the JWs. However, please do not think there are any rules for leaving, no one way is the right way, it's your way that is the right way.  I am not saying you have to form a group or organization, or do anything you are not ready for. Do not rush the process of leaving the JWs. But you can become a better person for taking on that difficult challenge of leaving the JW organization forever.

Blogging helped me to get my story out there since that was the best way for me to communicate. Other people have their own style, but doing nothing is fine too. Your simply walking out of those Kingdom Hall doors and never returning is a major step, and is by no means considered doing nothing. That is doing a lot, it's a huge first step. A point to remember is to work on the person inside of you first, seek out self-help books and videos, some suggestions are in the footer of this blog. Don't just crowd your mind with religious doctrines, think about your entire lifestyle. Are you eating well, sleeping well, and doing well on your job? Focus forward and become a better person inside, and the rest will fall into place.

No, it is not easy, but you can do it with a little time and planning. Share only your most deep inner thoughts with a trusted non-JW friend [I emphasize that]. I am sorry to tell you this, but even if you believe you have the best JW friend in the world, even if they are your spouse, they will turn on you. Why? It's their indoctrination into that JW religion who pretends to not be a cult. No one religious or political group has all the answers in this life. Life's purpose is the journey, not being stagnate waiting for "the end" of this system of things like JWs have you believe. They have all the answers so there is no need for further research, learning, or study. That is one major red flag right there. No one should tell you to only read their literature and only believe what they tell you to believe.

What are the JW Leadership willing to tolerate? Every crime imaginable.
They sweep its worst offenses under the carpet, even allowing
certain members of the Elder Body to walk out of the congregation,
"forced" [ha ha] to write a disassociation letter,
and never facing a real court of law.

Explore the world around you without limitations. Perhaps look to non-JW co-workers and ask what groups they belong to, maybe get a gym membership or join a running club, something that gets you out of your head and into the...what? Into the BODY, your own body, and those walls inside of your brain will finally fall away and you can see life for what it means for you, individually.

Do what makes you happy. Harm no one on your journey.
